For those not caught up, Phoenix and Golden State had agreed to a trade involving Zach Randolph and a pick going to Golden State for a few players in return. Both managers posted their agreements and the trade was set. Golden State then decided to trade Zach Randolph elsewhere and edited the post, trading Randolph to Philadelphia. Phoenix, without being informed on the deal, did not accept the edited/updated trade, thus leaving us here.
After discussing it, Myles and I have decided to process the original trade, as the trade was posted and agreed upon by both parties. Since the thread was then edited to involved a third without agreement from Phoenix, the 3-team deal will not be allowed.
To prevent a situation similar to this coming up in the future, we will no longer allow trade posts to be edited. We will try to change settings, if possible, to not allow GM's to edit their posts at all. If we can't change any settings, any trade office posts that are edited, will be rejected and not put through. If there are any changes in trades or teams added to a deal, the full trade must be re-posted and all GM's must agree to the changes. If changes are not done this way, the trade will be rejected and not put through. Let this be the precedent to avoid a situation like this coming up in the future.
