So this year in the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers led the league in steals (9.56) and turnovers forced (16.08). Last year, it was the Grizzlies with 9.56 and 17.12 per game.
There are 13 teams in the CSL with more than 9.7 steals per game, and the median in the NBA is 7.95, whereas it is 9.3 in the CSL.
There are 15 teams forcing 17.3 turnovers or more per game, and the median in the NBA was 14.1, and here it's 17.
What do you guys think we should do? I think if this trend doesn't change by around sim 10, I'm going to decrease every single player's STL rating by around 10%. That's my personal opinion though. I want to hear from everyone before we do anything about it.

I'd say yes. Didn't you nerf HDL rating pretty much league-wide? I'm sure that has something to do with it.

I feel like steals are always high in this game, so I would be in favor of nerfing them across the league.

I wouldn't lower HDL...but STL I would be in favor of a 10% drop, with any leftover decimal places rounded up. IE Kawahi Leonard would have a 72 rating.

Rh0xxy you aren't the only one with ridiculous steal stats, look at team stats across the league everyone is insanely high.
Also the idea of the 10% drop is so that everyone is affected at an equal ratio, so you'll still be a top turnover forcing team.

Handles were already lowered before we selected teams. I think dropping steals to mirror the drop in handles makes sense.

Dropping STL ratings seems like the best course of action. Maybe it was just a fluke, but thirty-seven turnovers or whatever it was for Utah against LAC is ridiculous. That's got to be close to the NBA record for turnovers in a single game.

The handling of the players is too low IMO. So many starter quality PGs have below 70 in ball handling. It's way too harsh. Even a guy with 75 ball handling will turn the ball over about 2 times a game. The steals are probably high too. I'd up the handling and decrease the steals. Maybe 5% each?

Just do that for the Clipps, they da problem  . Realistically, turn down all DI by 5%, STL by 5% and I think you are good. |

I'm going to do some roster tests with the following tweaks:
Steals down 8%
Handle differential up 4% (so for instance, a player with 45 handle will get 4% of 55 (100-45=55) added to his handle, whereas a player with 80 handle will get 4% of 20 added. Everything will be rounded up).
If we do make any tweaks, we'll be doing it to the entire roster set, no individual changes.
