So I'm still on vacation, but I had to put this out here.
Now I appreciated innovation and new ideas as much as the next guy, but this sim schedule (the first league I've been in that sims 5 times at 3 days per) just doesn't work. It makes things painfully tedious. The regular season doesn't matter enough to have to change your lineup that many times. Personally, I think it's a big reason this league has slowed down in recent days. Every day you get to see 1, maybe 2 games that have simmed for your team. Me, I'd rather see a lump sum every other day.
So here's my solution: Change back to the older, and more popular, way of simming. 3 times a week, 5 days a piece. Makes things far less tedious depth chart wise and it makes things move faster and more fun. Like this it seems like we're just crawling through the season.
Anyways, I'm going to get back to the beach. Just putting this out here.

I gotta disagree. Changing your DC take no more than 5-10 minutes. Plus, teams like to set different DC's and strats to matchup against different teams. I wouldn't want to use the same strat against the Clippers as I would the Pelicans for example. Plus 4 days out of the week, people frankly won't give a damn about whats happening, which happened in R2G.

It's still the same 15 sim days a week either way.
I prefer having one or two games to check for five days. Also makes DCing in case of injuries/whatnot a lot better.

The reasoning behind doing doing this was to prevent people from only checking in 3 times a week, making forums a ghost town in the meantime. Its the exact same pace either way, 15 sim days per week, and this allows teams that want to adjust to injuries or change based on matchups do so easier and quicker.

Also, Jake, simming this way also provides options. If you want to see a lump sum every other day, then check the standings every other day. You don't have to submit a DC every sim, you can take days off in between. I'm in a league that does 5 sims per week, 2 day sims, so we frequently have sims without a game in it. I would go 10-15 sims without adjusting my DC or submatrix at all if there weren't any injuries.

I like it this way. Most exciting thing about a sim league is seeing your results and we get to see that 5 times a week. Like others have said it's the same pace as what your suggesting. So i'd say keep as is personally.

I'd actually suggest to make it 6 days a week Kidding aside, this is probably the most ideal setup for a sim league imo

I'd actually suggest to make it 6 days a week or even non stop maybe look for a voluntary simmer for monday? Lol Kidding aside, this is probably the most ideal setup for a sim league imo

There's just so little happening between Sims because you only have 1 game to discuss most likely.
So if you guys still want 5 sins per week, at least sim 4 days rather than 3.

Your argument is very flawed. Look at sim days vs. weekends. There's a big difference in activity. If we were to change it to 3 days rather than 5, activity would go down even more and discussion would be even less, which is the exact opposite of your argument.

So if you guys still want 5 sins per week, at least sim 4 days rather than 3. 4 sim days moves too fast for us doing draft media to keep up. Also, I'm in a league that does 5 sims a week, 2 days per sim. That league is also the most active league I've ever been in. You don't always have to talk about games or your team. I've seen article series done on advanced stats around the league, position rankings, looking ahead at schedules, state of the caps, etc. There is plenty to talk about between sims. I know going from simming 5 days at a time to 3 is an adjustment for sure, but media/interaction is not a concern for us with the new schedule. Other people have mentioned the ghost town weekends, that's a perfect example of not having fewer sims.

Yeah, when a league only sims 3 days a week, it's a recipe for it to be dead on anything other than a sim day. This also leads into the problem of people then being slackerass on things like FA and the draft, because they're not in the habit of checking daily.

I agree with you Jake on this.
It seems activity is at a peak only during trading, once guys get over the "high" of making moves things change.
It's been brutal seeing the abrupt halt in participation.
